Journal of Computer Science Implications (JCSI)

ISSN (Online): 2753-8141
Publisher: Hansen Publishers

The Journal of Computer Science Implications (JCSI) follows a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and scientifically sound research. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential, ensuring an impartial, objective, and unbiased evaluation of every manuscript.

Editorial Screening

Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial assessment to determine whether it:

  • Falls within the journal's scope.
  • Meets the journal's formatting requirements.
  • Demonstrates originality and scientific merit.
  • Complies with ethical publishing standards.
  • Successfully passes plagiarism screening.

Manuscripts that do not meet these basic requirements may be returned to the authors or rejected before peer review.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that successfully pass the editorial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area. Neither the reviewers nor the authors are informed of each other's identities throughout the review process.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and novelty
  • Scientific and technical quality
  • Research methodology
  • Significance of the findings
  • Accuracy of data and analysis
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Relevance to the journal's scope
  • Quality of references and supporting literature
  • Ethical compliance

Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor may make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Accept with Minor Revisions
  • Major Revisions Required
  • Reject

When revisions are requested, authors should submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed.

Confidentiality

All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Editors and reviewers must not disclose, distribute, or use unpublished material for personal or professional advantage.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide fair, objective, and constructive feedback.
  • Complete reviews within the requested timeframe.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Declare any conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.
  • Notify the editor if plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns are suspected.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are expected to:

  • Submit original and unpublished work.
  • Cooperate fully during the peer review process.
  • Respond to reviewer comments respectfully and thoroughly.
  • Revise manuscripts within the requested time when revisions are required.
  • Inform the Editorial Office of any significant errors discovered after submission or publication.
