(Applicable to EJCSSA | EJAIML | BETRF)
1. Introduction
Regent Science Press is firmly committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical publishing, integrity, and transparency in scientific research.
Our publication ethics policies are guided by the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).
All authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers associated with Regent Science Press are expected to adhere to these ethical standards throughout the publication process.
2. Duties of Authors
2.1. Originality and Plagiarism
-
Authors must ensure that their submissions are entirely original and have not been published or submitted elsewhere.
-
Proper acknowledgment and citation of all sources used in the research are mandatory.
-
Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using advanced detection software, and any paper exceeding 15% similarity (excluding references) may be rejected immediately.
2.2. Data Integrity and Fabrication
-
Authors must present accurate data and avoid any form of fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting.
-
Manipulation of figures, tables, or images to misrepresent results is strictly prohibited.
2.3. Authorship Criteria
-
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have significantly contributed to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research.
-
All authors must approve the final version of the paper before submission.
-
Any changes in authorship after submission must be approved by all co-authors and the editorial office.
2.4. Conflict of Interest
-
Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their research outcomes or interpretations.
2.5. Ethical Approvals
-
For studies involving humans, animals, or sensitive data, authors must include proof of approval from the relevant ethical review boards or committees.
2.6. Acknowledgment of Sources
-
Authors must give proper credit to others’ work and avoid excessive self-citation or citation manipulation.
3. Duties of Editors
3.1. Editorial Independence
Editors evaluate manuscripts based solely on academic merit, relevance, and scientific quality, without bias regarding gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs of the authors.
3.2. Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or editorial advisors.
3.3. Fair Decision-Making
Editors ensure a transparent, timely, and impartial peer-review process. The final decision on publication is based on reviewers’ reports, originality, and the journal’s editorial scope.
3.4. Handling of Misconduct
In cases of suspected misconduct (plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate submission, etc.), editors will initiate an ethical investigation following COPE guidelines.
If misconduct is proven, appropriate actions—such as retraction, correction, or rejection—will be taken.
4. Duties of Reviewers
4.1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Reviewers play a vital role in improving the quality of manuscripts and assisting editors in making publication decisions.
4.2. Objectivity and Confidentiality
-
Reviews must be objective, constructive, and unbiased.
-
Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and should not share or discuss the manuscript with others.
4.3. Conflict of Interest
Reviewers must decline to evaluate manuscripts if they have competing interests, including personal, professional, or financial connections with the authors or their institutions.
4.4. Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify uncited relevant work and alert the editor to any potential plagiarism or ethical concerns detected during the review.
5. Publisher’s Responsibilities

Regent Science Press ensures the permanent availability, preservation, and accessibility of all published content through reliable archiving systems and DOI assignment.
5.2. Correction and Retraction Policy

-
Retractions will follow COPE’s Retraction Guidelines, clearly indicating the reason for withdrawal.
5.3. Ethical Oversight
The publisher actively monitors editorial and peer-review processes to prevent unethical practices such as citation manipulation, ghost authorship, or duplicate publication.
6. Handling Allegations of Misconduct

The investigation will follow a structured process involving the author(s), editors, and reviewers.
